The Sydney Institute of Business and Technology (SIBT) was founded in 1997 and offers a university preparatory program and graduate courses in specialties such as arts, business administration, engineering, information technology, media and communications. SIBT provides a direct route to a university degree.
SIBT is part of the global Navitas group (globally recognized education provider). As a top college working in collaboration with other partner universities, the Sydney Institute of Business and Technology facilitates the transition from high school to university-level education. SIBT ranks 93rd in the national ranking of educational institutions. The level of student satisfaction at the institute has reached 90%. Foundation program is approved by the Higher Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA), diploma programs are also accredited by TEQSA.
Students who graduate from the Sydney Institute of Business and Technology can transfer directly to their second year undergraduate program at Western Sydney University (WSU), on the Sydney campus. Thus, even if a student does not meet the requirements for direct university admission, SIBT gives him that chance. Ranked in the top 2% of universities in the world, WSU offers students a wide variety of degrees in business, communications, engineering, information technology, and healthcare.
With the help of SIBT, students increase their employability and acquire professional skills and valuable experience for graduates. The Institute conducts a series of workshops on interviewing, resume writing, mentoring schemes, and career issues.
The Sydney Institute of Business and Technology has about 450 students, many of whom are foreigners.
