The University of Glasgow has several academic buildings. In Gilmorhill, near Kelvingrove Park, is the main building of the university. The Faculty of Dentistry is located in the centre of Glasgow, and the Veterinary Medicine building is on the outskirts, in the Dresden area, where there are also sports grounds, an observatory and a swimming pool. The research department is located in Loch Lomond. Another university building is located in Dumfries. The University of Glasgow library has more than 2.5 million library items, which makes it one of the most famous in Europe<\/p>
