A leading State University, the University of Westminster has trained professionals in linguistics, journalism, architecture, business and the sciences for over 180 years. The University of Westminster has educated many heads of state, Nobel laureates in medicine, award-winning film directors and musicians, scientists and Olympic medallists<\/p>

The University of Westminster was founded in 1838 as Britain's first polytechnic. Later, the University of Westminster became a multi-disciplinary university, and today it is a progressive university with quality programmes in sought-after specialities. It was within the walls of this university that the first paid cinema show was held (the first in Britain!), and the first European photo studio was opened. The University is proud of its wide range of academic programmes, specialities and areas of study: many of the courses offered are virtually unparalleled in other universities<\/p>

The University of Westminster is located in London's historic Westminster district. International students will enjoy living in the heart of Britain: the main attractions of the kingdom - Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, the lively pubs of Whitehall, the changing of the guard at Horse Guards Parade Ground - are all within easy reach of the university. The university has four campuses, three of which are in the Borough of Westminster. The main building of the university is located on Regent Street in the heart of the English capital<\/p>

The Central Campus in the heart of London was built between 2010 and 2012 and is characterised by state-of-the-art architecture and facilities, innovative technical equipment and spacious classrooms. It is home to students on the Architecture and Business programmes<\/p>

The newly renovated campus includes the largest university library with reading and computer rooms, and a huge law school<\/p>

Located on one of London's main streets - prestigious, respectable and lively Regent Street. The campus features an excellent large student centre (Students' Union), excellent recreational areas and modern computer labs. This campus is home to faculties and departments of social sciences, humanities.<\/p>

All facilities are provided for the students for their convenience. There is a large library and a dormitory. In addition, the institution of higher education is developing all the time, as evidenced by its entry into scientific groups and elite associations.<\/p>

Sport plays a big role in the life of the university. As early as 1883, the university started a student athletics team, which for a long time was the largest team in the country. In 1908, the University of Westminster organised the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic Games, for many years the university has awarded the Study Trophy to swimmers, boxers and cyclists, but the strongest area of the university is considered to be athletics<\/p>
