University of Dundee

The University of Dundee is a relatively small, multi-disciplinary university in the UK. Medicine, particularly midwifery, the arts, information and computer technology and law are its main academic areas. The University of Dundee leads the country in the employment of graduates in these fields. The Times & Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019 magazine named it as one of the top 30 universities in the UK. This year's edition of the guide emphasised teaching strengths, student experience and graduate prospects. Each of these categories places Dundee in second place in Scotland.

Several departments at the university have the status of being the best in Scotland. One of these is the School of Design, which offers courses in textile and graphic design. The Department of Biochemistry is recognised as the best in Europe for research in this field. The faculties of Law and Economics are said to be world-leading in training for the oil and gas industry. The University of Dundee's compact campus is located in the city centre and consists of modern academic buildings, a library, sports facilities including the largest sports complex with swimming pool in the region, and infrastructure such as clubs and cafes. In total, the university has more than 60 clubs and communities open to all interested persons
