One of the best universities in England is the University of Brighton. The ranking institution was founded in 1850 on the south coast of the UK and was awarded university status in 1992, becoming the country's leading educational institution. Five faculties and a popular School of Medicine offer top-level educational programmes to both local and international students.
Innovative courses are created by the University of Brighton administration to support the academic vitality and sustainability of the institution. Campus Facilities:
There are four University of Brighton campuses in Brighton and Eastbourne. Each has state-of-the-art facilities, a variety of subject-specific spaces, outdoor recreation areas, self-study areas and much more, making student life not only useful for gaining knowledge, but also diverse for self-development, meeting new friends and realising your potential.
City Campus is located in the cultural centre of Brighton. It is close to the beach and several residences. There are bars, theatres and venues with live music throughout the area, making life lively and active. The campus has the following facilities which are different from others:
- Purpose-built media centre with computer rooms, self-study, studios
- Galleries hosting exhibitions of creative students
- Specialised art and design studios with necessary equipment and materials
The campus has cycle paths, public transport links and quick access to the city's attractions.
Falmer - located in the South Downs National Park, ten minutes by bus or train to Brighton city centre, giving you the opportunity to enjoy both rural and urban living. The campus is home to a variety of teaching facilities as well as:
- Two residences
- Big Library
- Illuminated football pitch with artificial turf
- Netball courts, tennis courts
- Sports centre with fitness and game halls
- Playgrounds for six sports, from beach volleyball to rugby
Moulsecoomb is located in the student area of the city, close to many public spaces and places to visit. Just two miles north of the city centre it is easily accessible by train or bus to enjoy bars, pubs, clubs, theatres and comedy venues. During the summer months there are many activities on the seafront such as barbecues and picnics on the beach. The campus has recently been refurbished to provide the best facilities for learning which include:
- Five residences with more than 800 rooms
- Modern learning, social spaces at the School of Business and Law
- Fitness centres
- Social space of the Student Union
- A pedestrian bridge connecting both sides of the educational buildings
- Multi-storey car park for bicycles, cars
- Library
Eastbourne is close to the city centre and close to the seafront. There are modern bars, live music scenes, beach clubs, art galleries, many theatres and festival venues nearby. The campus offers modern facilities such as:
- A residence with more than 350 beds
- 25 metre pool
- Sports and gyms
- Dance studio
- Outdoor area for games, recreation
On each campus there are dozens of cafes, dining halls, offering a diverse menu: national, international cuisine, vegetarian, vegan, dietary dishes.
The University of Brighton provides an environment that fosters the diverse interests of its students. More than 70 themed communities and sports clubs support sport, creativity, philanthropy, research and much more.
Sport Brighton Panthers activity programmes include one-to-one coaching sessions, restaurant visits and skills development at both hobby and professional level. They also play popular team games.
The partnership with Nike allows University of Brighton sports teams to provide players with customised uniforms.
