De Montfort University Leicester

De Montfort University (DMU) is a higher education institution located in the city of Leicester. The university began its history in 1870, when there was still the Leicester School of Art. In 1969, the institution became Leicester Polytechnic College after several transformations. In 1992, after more than 120 years since its foundation, the institution gained university status and the new, widely known name De Montfort University became world famous for its programmes. The undergraduate course Contour Fashion is one of the most popular with international students around the world. Other creative specialities that are taught at the top level are also very popular. Interesting fact:

De Montfort University's campus features a museum built around the only
the surviving ruins of the medieval Church of the Annunciation. The halls tell the story of
Newark, including the evolution of the university, and the two state-of-the-art galleries change regularly, organising a variety of exhibitions of student work, university collections, and pioneering research
