The University of Sheffield is a public research university in the city of Sheffield in the county of South Yorkshire, England. It traces its history back to the foundation of the Sheffield Medical School in 1828. The Sheffield Technical School was founded in 1884. In 1897, they were merged to form the University College Sheffield, which was granted university status in 1905. The university has demonstrated itself as an excellent educational institution over many years of fruitful work. It has professional and carefully designed study programs, and graduates are extremely highly qualified.
