TEDI London - The Engineering and Design Institute, which is dedicated to the development of engineering. TEDI London was initiated by three major universities - the University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney, Sydney, Australia), King College London and Arizona State University were the initiators of TEDI London. They were able to create an institution focused on addressing global industry challenges in the 21st century by coming together through the PLuS Alliance organisation

TEDI students participate in the King's College London Student Union (KCLSU). They have access to a huge student fraternity, over 300 clubs and communities of interest, a huge library, study and entertainment venues across London, bars and cafes, and extra help and advice from tutors and mentors

TEDI has a Student Experience and Support Group (Student Hub) that is available to help students with any issues - both academic and personal:

- Accommodation and stay
- Financial Advisors
- Support for international students
- Psychological counseling and mental health
- Employment and internship opportunities
- Support for students with disabilities and much more

Campus Facilities:

The TEDI London campus is located in London, Canada Water. The Docklands area of south-east London offers a comfortable place to live and study. Here, engineering students will find much to inspire them - for example, the Rotherhithe drawbridge, Canada Water library with its unique inverted pyramid shape, is a constant delight

The place combines sustainable development and innovative modular design, and it offers many studios and workshops for professional work, also known as makerspaces. They have all the equipment you need, from large-scale machines and machine tools to small prototypes, hand tools and 3D printers. Conference rooms, auditoriums, classrooms for independent work, spaces for exhibitions or specialised events are ready to go

Take a break from studying in the spacious two-storey cafeteria, student lounges, and outdoor rooftop terraces that offer scenic views of the river

Facts:

The ideal portrait of a TEDI student is a young person who wants to:

- Gain valuable experience of real project work, an engineering qualification (and with projects that have global value, supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals, not just lectures)
- Include useful lines, skills, work in your portfolio to qualify for a good place or internship
- Improve your practical skills - from electronics to 3D printing and prototyping
- Develop both hard skills and soft skills: learn interdisciplinary teamwork, research principles, product life cycle analysis and evaluation. Students actively develop analytical and critical thinking, communication and self-reflection skills, independent thinking and leadership skills. They can manage projects (planning - design - implementation), research the market competently and comprehensively, and work skilfully with clients
- Work with colleagues and like-minded people from around the world and make useful industry connections
- Learn from the best industry experts

The college administration actively works with leading engineering organisations and professionals to nurture students as dynamic, innovative, skilled professionals ready for work immediately after graduation. TEDI partners include:

- Waterman Group
- Network Rail
- Hawkings | Brown.
- RS Components
- British Land is the UK's leading estate agent

TEDI is keen that maximum of its graduates are quickly placed in good, prestigious, high-paying jobs, hence it actively runs an industry-specific academic programme - and helps in placement within 2 years of graduation
