Wildlife is everywhere on the University of York campus: lakes, wetlands make it a popular destination for many species of birds including ducks, geese, swans, grebes, grebes, reed warblers, coots and herons. There are also radio and television studios on site. From 2000 to 2016 there was a campus-wide upgrade with investment recognised as the largest in UK higher education. The campus doubled in size, with around £750 million invested in teaching, research, chemistry laboratories, library expansion, and sports facilities
